About

Hi my name is Michelle Courtney and this is my story.....
From London to Bath....

Originally from North London, I grew up with a natural desire to create things. Whether it was drawing most things I could see, or building structures with my father with a box of wooden bricks. I used to watch my father taking photographs with his SLR camera and thought I want to do that, now my father has passed that very camera and accessories down to me and I still have fun every now and then using it. I love the excitement as you wait for the film to be developed!
My Nan was a knitter and I still remember the first cardigan she made for me and how sad I was when it no longer fitted and got passed down to my younger sister. My mum taught me how to crochet granny squares and I still enjoy crocheting today.

I started making greeting cards with some friends of mine in London. We used to meet up once or twice a week and have a good crafting session.
When I moved to Bath, I wanted to get crafting again so I tried my hand at all sorts of crafts from painting, crocheting, knitting, card making, sewing, photography and my latest passion, Jewellery making. I haven't really settled on one media but that is because my ideas come from all over the place in mixed media, so instead of restricting myself I just go where my heart and creative ideas take me!
